Tropical House
This house is thoughtfully designed to suit the tropical climate, with a layout that maximizes comfort and efficiency. The building is oriented lengthwise across the path of the sun, minimizing direct sunlight into the house. By facing the front of the house to the north, it captures breezes from both the north and south, ensuring good ventilation. The raised foundation, inspired by traditional local homes, helps the house catch cooler breezes from above, reduces heat accumulation, and prevents dust from entering.

Project Type : House
Size / Area : 150 sq.m

The house uses lightweight EKOBLOK bricks with low thermal conductivity, left exposed to reveal their raw beauty while reducing costs. Key spaces—bedrooms, bathrooms, and kitchen—are finished with polished plaster for easy maintenance. The 2-inch PU metal sheet roof, paired with corrugated panels, eliminates the need for a ceiling, showcasing a simple yet efficient material approach.
